Spriya Adhikari is an agricultural scientist specializing in applied research and community engagement across Nepal's mountain agroecosystems. She holds a BSc (Honours) in Agriculture from the Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST), graduating with a CGPA of 3.74/4.00 and a Merit-Based Semester Scholarship.
As a Research Intern at the National Horticulture Research Centre (NHRC), Khumaltar, she supported varietal evaluation trials for climate-adapted crops. Her peer-reviewed research on chili genotype performance was published as corresponding author in the Nepalese Journal of Agricultural Sciences (2026). She is proficient in data analysis and statistical modeling using R Studio, Excel, and GIS, applying these tools to experimental design and evidence-based agricultural research.
Spriya has contributed to national policy dialogues, including as rapporteur for the National Consultation on Nepal's Agroecology Roadmap and as a participant in FAO Nepal's Food Forum on youth and agrifood system innovation. She is certified in Agroecology and Food Systems (Kathmandu University/LI-BIRD) and is committed to advancing food system resilience and equitable rural livelihoods in Nepal.
