Arpana Pandit, PhD

Research Fellow (Public Health and Behavior)

Arpana Pandit contributes to IFS in the capacity of a Research Fellow in the fields of public health. She holds a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Kochi University of Technology (KUT) Japan in 2021 (with a President's Award). She received a Master's degree in Child Development and Gender Socialization and Bachelor's degree in Public Health. Previously, she worked as Research Fellow at the Kochi University of Technology, implementing research ``Maternal mental health among pregnant women of Nepal - An experiment''. She also worked for the Red Cross and Nepal Health Research Council as a Health Officer and a Research Associate, respectively. She has published several articles in the field of Public Health in peer-reviewed journals, such as Sustainable Production and Consumption, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Her research interests include behavior change, disasters and public health, environmental issues, mental health and well-being, non-communicable diseases, reproductive health, road safety, social support, social norms, and solid waste management.
